jim had a rather nice face. a lovely face really. but he was just a pretty face and a booming voice. his theatrics provided entertainment for her. however, nothing like the entertainment sherlock provided. stupid molly hooper fixing up her lipstick. silly molly hooper, fetching the coffee. idiotic molly hooper, embarrassing herself in front of him again. if only he were smart enough to piece together the pieces, and see who molly hooper really was.

My Dear Lady Disdain: what fetishization of queer people in fandom feels like for me

You know, I give people the benefit of the doubt when.....

I need to go to my mind palace.: I couldn't sleep last night and thought of a Sherlock theory.

1 sentence fic request: Molly Hooper/science

raptorsahoy:

As Sherlock exited the lab, their plan to fake his death freshly devised, Molly whispered to herself, “My science brings all the boys to the yard.”

Every great magic trick consists of three parts, or acts. The first part is called “the pledge.” The magician shows you something ordinary: a deck of cards, a bird or a man. He shows you this object. Perhaps he asks you to inspect it to see if it is indeed real, unaltered, normal. But of course… it probably isn’t. The second act is called “the turn.” The magician takes the ordinary something and makes it do something extraordinary. Now you’re looking for the secret… but you won’t find it, because of course you’re not really looking. You don’t really want to know. You want to be fooled. But you wouldn’t clap yet. Because making something disappear isn’t enough: you have to bring it back. That’s why every magic trick has a third act, the hardest part, the part we call “the prestige.”
